Health challenges can disrupt more than a person’s daily routine. They can also threaten a home’s stability.  One neighbor, who was evicted after her health affected her ability to work, received help from St. Vincent dePaul with her past-due rent.

She is now staying with family because her health requires that she not be alone. While awaiting a neurologist appointment, she is also taking steps toward financial stability through a new job that allows her to work from home.

Her lease runs through December. She is hopeful income from her new job will cover the remaining rent through the end of her lease. SVdP volunteers also advised the neighbor to arrange a payment plan for her past-due utility bills, which she did.

Your support makes this practical assistance possible. Please keep this neighbor and her family in your prayers as they navigate the weeks ahead.
